Scoring is LIVE | zkSync | Earn $$$ | Membership Upgrades

Loads of great stuff today. I’m super happy to be giving good news to NGMI Lab members and NGMI Lab not-yet-members. Plus all the usual web3 shenanigans like WTF anagrams and some great web3 educational tools!

What you’re getting this week

  1. New Report: zkSync is coming

  2. WTF does it mean?: Does web3 have the most confusing terminology in the world?! Answer = Yes

  3. New Feature: Data is here! How can YOU get access?

  4. NGMI News: Membership upgrading and earning with NGMI $$$

  5. Tool of the week: It’s more of an institution actually!

New report 🧐

zkSync - Infrastructure - Silver

zkSync is going to be our next report and we think it could be a really interesting one!

ZkSync is a layer-2 protocol (see more about layers that aims at scaling Ethereum using Zero Knowledge Rollup technology while preserving the fundamentals of Ethereum.

Sound confusing? don’t worry our reports are meant to simplify these complex concepts into easily understandable plain English, which is often not used in web3 unfortunately.

Important note about our reports:
Whilst the zkSync report is being finalised you may want to see some of our other recent reports like Life Beyond, Mavia, Impostors etc. It’s important to remember that all of our reports include the ‘date of research’. The web3 world moves fast and projects change. Bear this in mind.

WTF does it mean? 🤔

We are creating a BIG database of the often insane terminology that is used in web3. To give you an idea of what we mean, below are our one-sentence explanations of blockchain layers that often cause confusion!

We have also written a blog post about layers previously. If you’re new here go check it out at the link below.

Layer 0: The physical layer of a blockchain network, which includes the hardware infrastructure.

Layer 1: The first layer of a blockchain network, which includes the base protocol and consensus mechanism.

Layer 2: A secondary layer built on top of the base protocol, which can provide additional functionality and scalability to a blockchain network.

Layer 3: A tertiary layer built on top of the base protocol and secondary layer, which can provide further functionality and scalability.

New NGMI Feature 🥳

NGMI Scoring Data finally arrives!

If you’re an NGMI Lab member go to Discord > Members Announcements and you’ll be able to access, admire and then argue over all our scoring data.

If you’re not yet a member then you can still get access via the referral link below. Send just one friend to our newsletter and you’ll receive a link to the data page! More referral rewards coming soon

🎉 Earn with NGMI $$$
Members can NOW earn a commission for bringing clients to NGMI Lab. If you know of any project founders, investment communities, VC’s, or individuals that might require the services of our incredible research team. Get in touch ASAP via the form below (10% of the contract value will be yours*)

*Some T’s & C’s apply, obviously.

Tool of the week 🛠

Web3 University Yes there is one, and it’s better than you’d expect. I haven’t seen a single frog meme yet!! 🐸

At NGMI Lab we truly believe in the value of real builders within web3. Our network is full of them and our reports hope to showcase more of them. I believe this web3 university could be a great resource for anyone looking to join that group on their mission.

There are plenty more resources out there too and I will continue to share them here, if they actually benefit web3! (imo (in my opinion))
